Stacie Ponder is a writer, artist, and podcast host focused on horror movies and horror-flavored video games.
In addition to her long-running, critically acclaimed horror blog Final Girl, her work has appeared in Rue Morgue magazine, Kotaku, FanByte, AMC TV, Bloody-Disgusting, and AfterEllen. Her work has been published in Butcher Knives & Body Counts: Essays on the Formula, Frights, and Fun of the Slasher Film, Womanthology, and You and Your Friends Are Dead.
She is the author of Slashers 101, The Bed, and Death Count: All of the Deaths in the Friday the 13th Film Series, Illustrated. With artist/performer Anthony Hudson, she co-hosts the weekly podcast Gaylords of Darkness, which looks at horror movies through a queer lens.
