Stacie Ponder is a writer and podcaster specializing in the horror genre. She is a columnist for Rue Morgue magazine, as well as the mind behind the critically-acclaimed horror blog Final Girl and a frequent essayist for Arrow Video. Her work has appeared in or at Butcher Knives & Body Counts: Essays on the Formula, Frights, and Fun of the Slasher Film, Kotaku, FanByte, AMC TV, Bloody-Disgusting, and more. She is the author of Death Count: All of the Deaths in the Friday the 13th Film Series, Illustrated and a 2021 inductee into the Rondo J Hatton Awards Monster Kid Hall of Fame. From 2018-23 she co-hosted the weekly podcast Gaylords of Darkness, which charted the world of horror through a queer, feminist lens. She lives in New England.
